Quarter finals
The United Football League announced the schedule of its games for the upcoming weekend.
Even if the Round of 16 has not yet finished, the UFL Cup Quarterfinals will commence with televised action this upcoming Saturday, November 26 at the University of Makati. The 2pm match will have defending UFL Cup Champions Global FC, fresh from their 3-0 win over Army Fritz & Maciol IBM, face Pachanga FC, who just came from a sensational penatly shootout against Navy Redjuice Tuesday night at the same venue. The 4pm match features Kaya FC and UFL 2nd Division champions Nomads FC. The lone game on Sunday, November 27, will feature Green Archers against the reigning League Champions Air Force Phoenix.FC. That will be 4pm.
The last QF pairing is scheduled on Bonifacio Day, November 30, where Stallions FC is already waiting for their opponent. That will not be known until Saturday, November 26 at Nomads. The 8pm fixture will feature the top-seeded Loyola Meralco Sparks FC go up against Sunken Garden United.
The Global-Pachanga and Kaya-Nomads matches will be shown live on AkTV on IBC 13, but if you go to the matches at the University of Makati, you may have the chance of winning tickets to the club friendly involving our Senior Men's National Football Team and the MLS Cup champions the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The mechanics for winning the tickets are as follows:
1. You will have to claim your entry stub from the ushers at either the Grandstand gate and the right bleacher side gate before entering the venue.
2. The stubs will have a pair of numbers, so you will tear one side and put it in the drop boxes nearby while keeping the other numbered side. Make sure to have your hand stamped by the usher upon getting your raffle stub.
3. Announcement of winners will be conducted during half time of each game. The winner will be receiving a pair of tickets to the club friendly.
6 pairs will given out during the Global-Pachanga match, while 7 will be raffled off in the Kaya-Nomads and Air Force-Green Archers fixtures. The final QF pairing will have 5 pairs available for winning. All UFL matches are free admission, so feel free to drop by and see some great football action.
